Clarifying the Gospel

As I promised Sunday evening during the Q & A session following the message on "The Gospel-Spreading Community" and evangelism, here are a couple of resources to help you in clarifying the content of the Gospel.

1. Tim Keller's excellent message on Preaching the Gospel. (Right click and go to "Save As . . ." to download the file).

2. The Story of His Glory, a lengthy "tract" I wrote in an attempt to answer both the "what" and "how" questions of the Gospel.

3. Living the Cross-centered Life, by C. J. Mahaney - an excellent and practical little book on how the Gospel impacts daily life. Mahaney is especially helpful on the meaning of the cross, although I wish there was a little more about the narrative framework of the Gospel (Creation-Fall-Redemption-New Creation).

4. And as a bonus (I said nothing of this Sunday night!) for you
non-readers - and everyone else, too! - you should purchase and listen to often Songs for the Cross-centered Life, a Sovereign Grace Music CD with some of the best Gospel-centered songs ever written (including many we sing at Fulkerson Park, such as Before the Throne of God, I Will Glory in My Redeemer, Alas and Did My Savior Bleed, and one we're going to learn this Sunday, The Gospel Song).
